Situated immediately south of Wellingborough on a ridge overlooking the River Nene.
The earliest record of the church dates from the 11th century its walls and roof are original Norman. Buried within is one of Doddington's famous sons, Sir William, de Pateshull, a victim of the Black Death which claimed half the population of the county in the mid-l4th century.
Apart from the church, other notable historic buildings include the Old Vicarage, Manor House and Stag's Head public house.
