In Saxon times there were two settlements, that of Belinges Magna and Belinges Parva and it was in 1674 that the name of Bealings was recorded.
St Mary's church in Little Bealings stands on a hill. Both churches have colourful tapestry kneelers representing many hours by many people of both parishes who embroidered them.
Bealings House was built in 1770 and stands in beautiful parkland.
The Elizabethan Seckford Hall stands on the edge of Woodbridge and Great Bealings was the residence of Sir Thomas Seckford and his family.
St Mary’s church in Great Bealings stands in a meadow, walk up the path to the porch dedicated to the memory of Sir Thomas Seckford founder of Woodbridge school and almshouses.
