Grassington

The major town in Upper Wharfedale has kept its charm and where a medieval stone bridge spans the River Wharfe. A small cobble market square is the meeting place of narrow streets.
Grassington Moor, north of the village, is covered with the remains of leads mines, now disused and which brought prosperity in the 18th and early 19th century.
