URPoint Details
This remote village has a churchyard with one of only a few surviving crosses like the Gosforth Cross. This 1000 year old cross sacred monument is intricately carved with figures of men and beasts which may represent the pagan gods of Norse mythology, as well as orthodox Christian symbols.
