The inscribed Gaelic stone on the old bridge is the rallying point for the Clan Sutherland. Spacious moors make a lofty background rising to Beinn a’Bhragaidh at 1293 ft on which stands a statue by Chantrey of the 1st Duke of Sutherland, set up in 1834.
