Gloucester - it’s cathedral and particularly the Docks area has been the location for much movie filming. Recent productions have included “The Choir” from the novel by local author Joanna Trollope and “Buffalo Girls” starring Anjelica Houston and Jack Palance.

Bishop Hooper Memorial
A fine statue marks the spot where the Protestant Bishop John Hooper was burnt at the stake behind the Cathedral in 1555. 200year history of prison life yesterday through to today, regularly updated audio/visual displays.
