URPoint Details
This exquisite Victorian country house hotel is privately owned and has been personally run by the MacCallum family for over 30 years.
What a setting... 60 acres of wooded grounds on the shores of Loch Oich and lying between Loch Ness and Loch Lochy in the heart of the Great Glen.
The Glengarry has a fine reputation for Highland hospitality, lovley traditional cooking and old fashioned Scottish afternoon teas. The hotel boasts a pine panelled reception hall and the lounge with its oil paintings reflect the glow of a welcoming log fire for those chillier days. Some of the beautifully furnished rooms have four poster beds and all offer splendid Highland views.
Please note that the hotel does not have an elevator/lift and that there are no ground floor bedrooms.
Private tennis courts, trout and pike fishing in Loch Oich are just some of the activities this splendid hostelry has to offer. Salmon fishing can be arranged locally.
A perfect centre for exploring the West Coast, Inverness, Urquhart Castle, the haunting ruins of Invergarry Castle and of course, some of the famous Lochs. Located on the A82 between Fort William and Inverness.
