A remote area of Skye loved by climbers is situated on Loch Brittle in the Minginish overlooked by the 150ft high Eas Mor waterfall.
The western flanks of the Coolins rise steeply from the green valley of the River Brittle and from this side Coire Lagan and Coir’ a Ghrunnda two of the finest corries.
Sgurr Alasdair rises to 3,251ft the highest point in the range with its well known ‘Stone Shoot’ and is well known to climbers.
A very narrow and rough road leads north through the upper part of the glen and continues the forest and continues over high ground to reach the shores of Loch Harport.
