URPoint Details
A wild and lovely glen in the northwest and can be reached from Invercannich Chisholm's Pass is narrow and wooded and opens out and the road skirts Loch Beneveian and to the small but beautiful Loch Affric which is surrounded by Scots pines some said to be as old as 400 years.
The road stops a little farther on but for walkers this is the start of a path beneath Mam Soul at 3,862ft and Cairn Eige at 3,877ft with magnificent views up to the keeper's cottage at Albeath.
There are various descents, and one of the loveliest is towards Loch Duich in Wester Ross.
