Gibside, (NT), 6m SW Open April to end October, daily except Monday (open Bank Holiday Monday) 11am-5pm. Last admission 4pm. Admission charge. Dogs on leads, in grounds only; picnic area in car park.

Disabled reserved parking bays about 50 yds from the Chapel; five steps up to terrace, but arrangements can be made to drive to side of chapel and approach from rear, on the level; please contact prior to visit. Chapel: access along grass terrace and up nine steps; then Chapel on one level; suitable for wheelchairs; a stairclimber is available for visitors able to transfer from wheelchairs; essential to book in advance. Wooden pews and stonework may be touched.

Gibside was one of the finest 18th century designed landscapes in the North of England. 354 acres of the grounds and woodland in addition to the beautiful Palladian Chapel and Grand Walk are to be enjoyed.
