URPoint Details
This village, south-west of Buckingham, was the birthplace in 1811 of the great Victorian architect, Sir George Gilbert Scott. His father, Thomas, was the vicar here and he in fact, designed the present church, a structure in a classical style. He could not, therefore, have been said to have given his famous son his zest for the Gothic style! The church retains its original pews, pulpit and organ.
