URPoint Details
A well known resort at the head of the lovely Gare Loch with its backdrop of hills and overlooking Loch Long.
To the east of town rises a range of lonely hills overlooking the head of Glen Fruin in which Beinn Chaorach stands at 2,338ft.
With Helensburgh and Rhu on its east shore this arm of the Firth of Clyde is 12 miles in length.
