Set in the heart of Wester-Ross and has an interesting harbour and many sandy beaches to stroll along. This is a beautiful small resort and has some of the finest scenery in the Scottish Highlands.
To the south is the scenic Loch Maree and the Torridons.
To the southwest across the Inner Sound there are views if the Coolin hills in the southern part of the Island of Skye.
Southwards, the views over to the Flowerdale Forest peaks in which Baeshven rise to 2,869ft is the highest while still further on south rises Beinn Alligin at 3,232ft one of the splendid wild Torridon peaks overlooking the lonely Torridon.
