Disabled car parking may park at main door, by arrangement disabled passengers may be set down at main door of castle. Access only front hall is wheelchair accessible to view rooms, a long flight of stairs to negotiate. Toilets in car park. Tearoom access by door at rear of castle but necessitates pushing over thickly laid gravel. Grounds: not recommended for wheelchairs. This property presents difficulties for the physically disabled but every effort is made to assist visitors to see the castle a small lift is available and can be used if the chair user can walk short distances. Fine views of the lake can be had from a car.

The five towers of Fyvie Castle bear witness to not only five centuries of Scottish history but also each are named after one of the five families who owned the castle.

The oldest part dates from the 13th century and the castle is probably the grandest example of Scottish baronial architecture.
