The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was been restored in 1722 and again in the 19th century. The church is red-brick and has many fine features including the early Decorated chancel, and in the east window can be seen heraldic glass of Edward the Confessor, Edward I, Margaret of France and that of Edward II as Prince of Wales. There is some 14th century glass in the nave, the altar rails are Jacobean and the brass chandelier is 18th century.
