The Church of St Peter and St Paul, has a lovely stone bell turret built in the 14th century. The magnificent hammerbeam roof and fine woodwork can be seen on the nave pews carved with buttressed armrests and poppyheads. One pew has the initials A.P. possibly for Alice de la Pole, Duchess of Suffolk and grand daughter of Chaucer. Outside the south wall of the church is the tomb of an Archbishop of Canterbury who refused to take the Oath of Allegiance to William and Mary.
