Freshwater - Isle of Wight

Tennyson lived in the village for 30 years and would walk across the rustic bridge named after him, a footpath leads to the High Down or Tennyson’s Down, his daily haunt. A 38ft monument commemorates the poet and it can be seen for miles around.
