The Great Pond is one of the largest lakes in southern England and even Little Pond is far from being little, and both are excellent for fishing and sailing.
The parish church has what is claimed to be a true witches cauldron 3ft across and used by Mother Ludlam near Waverley Abbey, who lived in a cave in the Middle Ages.
