A village lying close to the sea, amid rich agricultural land and the fine Norman to Perpendicular church has late Norman arches.The sea wall is dotted with notices warning that the marshes are dangerous, and the creeks should also be avoided.The marshes are excellent for bird watching in winter with redshanks, and Brent geese visiting. Snow buntings, along with rarer Lapland buntings and Shore larks also visit.
