Overlooking Loch Ness, the village is best known for its falls which are in a lovely wooded setting, the upper one being 30ft high and the lower 90ft high.
Foyers is on the line of General Wade’s road linking Fort Augustus with Inverness and he built himself a shelter, now known as the General’s Hut, the site of which is still unknown.
