URPoint Details
The church of St Mary's is one of the largest in the county and has a wonderful shingled broach spire.
The architecture is interesting as it covers Norman, Early English, Decorated and Perpendicular periods. The long nave is very interesting with its 15th and 16th century oak trussed roof leads through to the Norman Chancel, rebuilt in the 13th century. One of the most fascinating features of this lovely church is the 14th century oak chest made from the trunk of one tree.
