URPoint Details
A quaintly named village in the heart of the forest and said to be the highest village in England. Its name derives from its past role as a centre for the counterfeiting of money.
The Counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire meet at The Three Shires Heads, and it was easy for the counterfeiters to escape the Sheriff by crossing into another county with their ‘flash’ money.
