Fir Trees Guest House - Windermere

This charming Victorian gentleman's residence of 1888, has some beautiful features including original pitch pine staircase and doors, wonderful antiques and prints.

The bedrooms are very tastefully furnished, some large enough for families. All have televisions, ensuites and tea/coffee making facilities.

A special treat is in store for you when you arrive downstairs in the morning for breakfast! Traditional English breakfasts cooked to perfection, with fresh orange juice and toast with lashings of delicious marmalade and honey. Vegetarians are also well catered for, I can assure you.

This warm and friendly home is within easy walking distance of both Bowness and Windermere villages and the scenery around the area has to be seen to be believed.

Golf, cycling, horse riding, tennis, water sports and of course walking are part of life in the Lake District. There are so many quaint villages to explore, one of my favourite places is Troutbeck, up in the hills. Enjoy a steamer trip on the Lake, it's well worth paying a visit to either or both William Wordsworth's House and Beatrix Potter venues.
