URPoint Details
A delightful village centred round the village green complete with pond, ducks and a magnificent oak tree. The pond, fed from a spring is home to a colony of mallards and kingfishers.
Fingringhoe Hall was built in 1650 and rebuilt in the Georgian style.
On the west side of Church Green is an ancient inn named The Whalebone, which once displayed the jawbones of the great sea creature as its pub sign a relic of long ago.
Together the pub and a couple of old cottages share a wonderful view over the Roman river valley.
