URPoint Details
The beaches offer safe swimming due to the mile long breakwater to the north.
The northern part of town is an old fishing port where flat-bottom fishing craft (cobles) are launched from the beach.
Filey is the starting off point for the 40 mile Cleveland Way long distance footpath which follows the coast before cutting inland across the North Yorkshire Moors.
