Fell Foot Park, (NT), Newby Bridge, at the extreme S end of Lake Windermere on E shore, entrance from A592. Open all year 10am-8pm or dusk if earlier. Rowing boats available April to October (buoyancy aids available). Admission charge; dogs on leads only; suitable for picnics.
Disabled access, but please take care as there are slopes and unfenced water; parking available and four designated spaces; access to cafe (one step), thick handled cutlery available.
18-acre park and garden restored, and landscaped to its former Victorian glory; with lakeshore access and magnificent views of the Lakeland fells. Good shows of daffodils and Rhododendrons.
