A vast chalet-style mansion built in 1860 and bought by Empress Eugenie after the death of her husband Napoleon and her son the Prince Imperial, it is now a Roman Catholic School.
Empress Eugenie lived here until her death in 1920 at the age of 95 while on a visit to her native Spain.
