Farigaig Forest offers excellent views over Loch Ness and across Inverfarigaig to Dum Doarduit, the site of a vitrified Iron Age fort dating from around 500BC.
The forest comprises large specimen conifers, introduced from America, and a mixture of native trees including birch, rowan, alder, ash, willow, hazel, elm and oak.
