Eyam Hall

Eyam , England

URPoint Details

Car park. Disabled toilet, level access, ask for assistance and parking at the gate by arrangement.

Located in the centre of 'Plague Village', 100 yards from the church, lies Eyam Hall, home of the Wright family since it was first built in 1671.
Old kitchen, portraits, tapestries, clocks, costumes and toys are just some of the delightful displays.

The little known novel 'The Wooing of Margaret Trevenna' mentions a certain 'Hall among the hills' with its 'roses and creepers, scarlet in autumn, and golden lichen, which gave colour to its green grey stones'.
