URPoint Details
This is the most important medieval building in the town, and is said to be the oldest municipal building in England. It has a 15th century hall and the stone carved external wall of the upper storey rests on granite pillars forming an arch over the High Street pavement. The granite for the pillars probably came from Dartmoor.
