Ewelme - Church of St Mary the Virgin

St Mary's Church, cloisters, almshouses and school were built as a group about 1432 by Alice Chaucer, Countess of Suffolk, whose magnificent tomb is beside the altar.

There is much old woodwork, most especially a very tall font cover of 1475, plus a fine collection of brasses and stained glass.
