Access to castle and grounds from shop via Border Warfare exhibition; easy access across grass with displays to see; helper advisable. Tape tour with hearing loop and script included in admission price. Shop/exhibition have easy access. Snacks available.
A compact 14th century border castle comprising a four storey keep, gatehouse, parts of its curtain wall and corner tower. Besieged and captured by the Scots on their way to the Battle of Flodden Field in 1513.
