Situated on the eastern shores of the wild and beautiful Loch Erriboll is a safe anchorage which penetrates deep into the Sutherland mountains with Grann Stacach rising to 2,630ft and Beinn Spionnaidh to 2,537ft.
Away to the southeast beyond Loch Hope is Ben Hope rising to 3,040ft the most northerly peak of over 3,000ft in Scotland.
Southwest beyond Strath Beag rises Foinaven at 2,980ft with the lonely Loch Doinard at its base.
