Lying almost on the edge of the wild Assynt country and in a lonely mountain setting with a loch, with the rise of the Cromalt hills to the south and forming a border with Ross and Cromarty. West in Drumrunie Forest is Cul Mor rising to 2,786ft and overlooking Loch Veyatie and the Cam Loch. Beyond rises the double topped peak of Suilven at 2,399ft.
