Elford The Church of St Peter still retains its 15th century perpendicular tower and has a fine collection of tombs. There is a monument to the grandson of Sir John Stanley, who was killed by a tennis ball in 1460, holding the tennis ball, pointing to his head, where he was obviously hit and killed.
