Edmund Burke, born in Dublin in 1729. He played a prominent role in British politics for more than 30 years. He wrote ‘A Vindication of Natural Society’ in 1756, ‘A Philosophical Inquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime’ in 1757. In 1770 he produced ‘Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents’. He died in 1797.
