Car parking visitor centre exhibitions refreshment facilities toilets and shop. A free audio tour is available just inside the Castle. Restaurant offering table and self-service. Disabled parking available on the Esplanade directly in front of the castle courtesy vehicle for disabled visitors to Crown Square. From there visitors have access to Crown Jewels. 4 steps into Great Hall, but there is a ramp There is also a ramp at St Margaret's Chapel. If the courtesy vehicle is not available, disabled visitors may take their own car up to Crown Square. Wheelchairs available from the castle, but steep, cobbled roadways make pushing hard work. Good wheelchair access to some of the major sites within the castle including: Mons Meg the Great Hall St Margaret's Chapel viewpoint, Scottish United Services Museum, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Museum, Crown Square, Crown Room and Scottish National War Memorial.
Perched high on an extinct volcanic outcrop, the most famous of castles dominates Scotland's capital and give stunning views of the city, and countryside out to the Firth of Forth.
