URPoint Details
Best known as a place of pilgrimage for visitors of the United States, being home to the family of Benjamin Franklin for over 300 years. A blacksmith by trade Franklin's father was born here in 1655 and is buried with many of his ancestors in the churchyard.
Notable buildings in the village include Ecton Hall and The World's End public house part of the village itself has been designated a Conservation Area.
