Eastwell - Church of St Michael and All Angels

The church of St Michael and All Angels is full of atmosphere and is basically a 13th century building with later additions. It most memorable feature is the stone screen with plaster tympanum above which divides the nave from the chancel. The chancel is only visible from the nave through a doorway and two square-headed windows and gives a sense of mystery which must have featured in most medieval churches when first built.
