URPoint Details
The green in the centre of this village was once owned by the Townshend family of Raynham.
An Augustinian priory was founded here in the 12th century and later moved to Coxford when the Abbey was built by the De Cheney family in the 13th century.
The abbey buildings were used in the late 1690's to provide material for the building of Raynham Hall.
There are still some remains of the Abbey behind the farm at Tattersett.
