The church has a 19th century ‘crown’ tower with the date of 1774 carved above its entrance. Near the churchyard is an old mounting stone.
At Mount Cameron farm lived Jean Cameron associated with Bonnie Prince Charlie and the rising.
About a mile north are the ruins of early 16th century Mains Castle.
