The next village to Eastbury down the Lambourn valley is East Garston.
It shelters beneath the downs and its old and new houses, some of them thatched, form a pleasant group.
Just outside the village is the church, largely Norman but with later additions including a chancel of 1875. On the nave\'s East wall is a painted Tree of Jesse, said to have been copied from a church in Florence.
