There are two Clandons, East and West, set amid the broad acres of farmland on the chalk plateau of the North Downs.
The village has some charming old brick-and-tile cottages and farm buildings cluster round the parish church.
The church of St Thomas of Canterbury is mainly Norman and has a shingle spire.
The stonework of the nave is mainly Norman, the chancel dates from the 13th century and the north aisle and vestry from 1900.
