Sitting on the banks of the Leader River and mainly noted chiefly as the home of the 13th century poet and romance writer Thomas Learmont. He is better known for his seven years devoted to Elfinland than for his poems.
He was endowed with the ‘Tongue of Truth’ so that his prophecies became famous.
