The long village street has a row of 16th and 17th century steep thatched cottages in a setting of beech, poplar and elm trees.

Visit the village shop/butchers and meet the traders who still wear striped aprons and boater hats, and where groceries are still delivered by bicycle.
Earl Soham Lodge is a moated manor house.
St Mary's Church dates from the 13th century, has a 15th century tower and the buttresses bear an inscription to some of its builders. The church is of the Decorated and Perpendicular style, has an octagonal font and a good nave roof.
