Dogs on leads in walking area only, not allowed in deer park. Picnics welcome in park licensed restaurant. Disabled parking on grass in Deer Park, 50 yds from House , disabled visitors may be driven to and collected from front door to avoid gravelled drive. House: most open rooms are on ground floor, which is on one level and accessible album of photographs of upstairs rooms. Terrace: one step down from west door ramp available west facing, sheltered views over gardens. Garden: may be viewed from terrace difficult slopes, steps and gravelled paths' wheelchair users need strong helpers access via stable door.
Church: access by car from village. Tearoom Stable restaurant thick handled cutlery available braille menu. Shop is accessible but very small. Toilets near stable yard, via drive and cobbles one shallow step up at entrance.
Built for William Blathwayt, Secretary at War and Secretary of State to William III, between 1691 and 1710. The rooms have changed little since they were furnished by Blathwayt and their contents are recorded in his housekeeper's inventory.
Surrounding the house, the 263 acre parkland, with herd of fallow deer, overlooks the Severn Valley.
