Situated where two roads fork and both travel northwards, through the picturesque Angus glens.
The right fork follows the South Esk River and later divides into two branches, one on either side of the river.
The left fork travels through the well wooded Glen Prosen where there is a fountain commemorating Captain Scott and Dr Wilson, Antarctic explorers.
Tulloch Hill that overlooks this part of the glen stands at 1,230ft.
