URPoint Details
The ruins of Duntulm Castle are near the end of the Trotternish peninsula in the far north of the island and overlook Duntulm Island. The castle was formerly a stronghold of the Macdonalds of the Isles and was the successor to Dunscaith Castle near Isle Ornsay. To the northwest beyond the waters of the Minch rise the hills of Harris in the Outher Hebrides.
