Dunster Castle & Garden, (NT). Castle: open April to end September, daily except Thursday & Friday (closed Good Friday) 11am-5pm: also October, same days but 11am-4pm. Shop: accessible, but has cobbled floor and can be very crowded.
Garden & Park: open February to early December, daily 11am-5pm. (4pm in February, March, October to December). Last admission s to all is ½hr before closing. Admission charge.
Disabled parking available near front entrance of castle by arrangement or by asking car park attendant.
Castle: stairclimbers enables wheelchair access to all show rooms, operated by trained staff' special routes through house for all with limited mobility.
Garden: on varying terrain, including very steep slopes; most easily enjoyed area (recommended for visitors with limited mobility) is alongside river, however, self drive car allows access to most of grounds, offering wonderful views, following specially selected routes on easy-to-follow plan. Wheelchair users are advised to bring a strong companion if they wish to scale the heights. Wheel-friendly map of garden available on request.
