Dunblane - (Dun Bhlathain)
The 13th century cathedral which stands on high ground above the turbulent Allen Water, has many fine wood carvings. The roof of the nave collapsed in the 16th century and was only replaced in the 18th century. In the south aisle are six beautifully carved 15th century stalls.
Opposite the cathedral in the Dean's House is a museum containing some very interesting local history.
The streets although narrow, have some fine 17th century buildings well worth looking out for.
